With AI, we're erasing borders for pets and their families.
PetAir is a team of international pet transport specialists handling country-specific quarantine and import/export regulations, extensive document preparation, and communication with pet parents.
The reason we want to use generative AI is not to replace people — it's to sharpen our expertise even further and ease pet parents' worries, one at a time.
We are looking forPetAir's first dedicated AI hire. You'll get to know our day-to-day operations and own everything end to end — from workflow analysis to PoC, implementation, and operation.
Why PetAir Is Hiring for AI
PetAir's work sits in an area with an exceptionally strong fit for AI. Researching country-specific regulations, checking required documents, managing quarantine schedules, explaining things to customers — at the core, all of this is about organizing information and communicating it accurately.
With well-designed AI in place, we can significantly reduce the workload while raising the quality of the customer experience. Our mission is to solve the overwhelming complexity and anxiety our founder personally experienced when traveling overseas with a pet. We want to push that mission further with the power of AI — that is where this role begins.
The First Three Challenges We'd Like You to Tackle
1. Organizing and updating information
Country-specific quarantine regulations and required documents change frequently. We need a system that keeps the latest information accurately organized and maintained as knowledge anyone can use.
2. Raising the quality of customer support
Most inquiries stem from similar worries. With AI assistance, we want to improve the accuracy of first responses so customers can feel reassured sooner.
3. Streamlining document preparation and application workflows
Preparing documents that combine the destination, the pet's details, and airline requirements currently involves a great deal of manual work. Using AI to reduce that effort would directly enable the business to scale.

- Designing and implementing AI tools such as internal knowledge search, document checking, and inquiry support
- Designing AI use for SEO articles, FAQs, sales materials, and ad operations
- Automating workflows around CRM, inquiries, and applications, and visualizing KPIs
- Building AI usage guidelines, quality control, and operational workflows
- Driving projects from PoC to full operation together with frontline team members

FAQ
Q. Do I need pet-industry knowledge?
A. No, it's not required. We'll cover industry knowledge during onboarding. What matters is the ability to get close to the actual work, organize the challenges, turn them into something AI can handle, and see it through to the end.
Q. Is full remote work possible?
A. The role is generally remote-friendly. We may ask you to come to the office for meetings once or twice a month.
Q. Can I join as a freelance contractor?
A. Yes. We envision 8–24 hours of work per week, starting with an initial three-month contract. Continuing on — or converting to full-time — is welcome.
Q. How far along is your AI adoption today?
A. We don't yet have an AI structure as an organization. That's exactly why, as our first AI hire, you'll have the freedom to design it from zero. We're counting on you to go beyond experiments and implement AI into the business itself.
Q. What should I send when applying?
A. Your resume and work history, plus one of the following: LinkedIn, GitHub, or a portfolio. If you also include a short note (around 200 characters) on work you've improved with AI, the process will go more smoothly.
